A couple inches to the right, and a three point shot would have put Davidson into the Final Four.  But it wasn't to be, and the Kansas Jayhawks kept them at bay, defeating the Wildcats by two.  The final score 59-57 gives some insight of the battle that was involved, the two teams staying within a few points of each other all afternoon.  Congratulations to the Davidson Wildcats on an amazing NCAA Tournament run, I think everyone outside of Kansas was pulling for you tonight.  When all the other games of the Elite 8 were won conviningly, Davidson took their game to the very end.  That was the best four quarters of basketball all weekend.

The Final Four, April 5th, 2008.

The four number 1 seeds will meet in the Final Four for the first time in NCAA Tournament history.  I guess the selection committee got it right this year.

Memphis will tip off against UCLA at 6:07pm, then North Carolina will take on Kansas at 8:47pm.
